Creating a marketing strategy for an internet based business certainly involves a generous level of online marketing however many businesses would prosper if their marketing strategy also included local exposure.
Local exposure is easier to obtain and often blooms into larger scale publicity. For example, a local news program might feature your product or service on an “about town” segment which is then picked up by the larger networks, blogs, and mainstream press. Additionally, it is always good to be able to say, “As seen on…” on your home page and in your marketing materials.

One of the things that many people across the globe share is the daydream of quitting their jobs and becoming their own boss. Many of these people have no ambition or desire to become the next tycoon or mogul; they simply want to own their own small business. Some may call this fantasy “the American dream”.
While owning a business may be a great dream or fantasy, it’s not always a great reality. Becoming “the boss” generally means that a person will be taking on more work, more responsibility, and more stress than they ever had as an employee.

Starting a business is fun. It is exciting to think that you will be your own boss, make your own decisions, control when and how you work and make money. On the flip side, being a company of one can get to be too much at times.
Do you find yourself wasting more and more time each day? Do spend more time reading email than you need to? Does your internet research continue long after you’ve found the answer? Do you take thirty minutes to write a “to do” list than only complete one or two of the tasks?
