Skype is a telephone service you can use right from your computer. Whether business or personal, Skype will take care of all your calling needs.

Skype is a free software that allows you to talk to other people straight from your computer. If you are connected with another Skype customer your call is free. You can also call cell phones and landlines for a small fee.

This system not only includes calling features but also has instant message and file transfer capabilities. In my business I spend a lot of time on instant message with my clients. Keeping it all in one place is perfect for my busy schedule. Because it’s free - I don’t have too much trouble convincing other people to use it, as a matter of fact many already do.

I can make video calls also using my webcam. It’s so easy to do and there’s no extra charge if it’s a Skype customer you’re calling.

It’s easy to add contacts and to even get new people to join Skype. Because it’s basically free people have no problem wanting to try it. Once you have your contact list set up, which is pretty simple to do, it’s even easier to connect with those contacts and make that call.

Skype is one way of being able to keep me in touch with clients, family and friends without having to leave the office so to speak. I’m much happier knowing I have all this at my fingertips.

Criticism: Skype was not meant to replace your landline or cell phone. Skype doesn’t have the capability to call 911.
